Regional Security System (RSS) – The Regional Security System deployed troops to St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Saturday 6th July 2024, to assist in the security and relief efforts there, in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl.
Twenty-five officers from the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda and the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, along with officials of the CARICOM Disaster Relief Unit, departed Barbados on the Barbados Coast Guard’s LEONARD C BANFIELD.
Before their departure, the troops were bid farewell by Director of Operations and Plans at the RSS, Lt. Col. Jeffrey Forde and Military Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Barbados Defence Force, Lt. Col. Carlos Lovell.
