Antigua and Barbuda is proud to host the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) from 1 to 4 November 2026.
During this period, enhanced security measures and official movements are expected across the island, including at V.C. Bird International Airport and along major roads and routes throughout Antigua.
As a result, customers travelling to and from Antigua may experience delays to departures and arrivals.
To help your journey go as smoothly as possible, Liat Air strongly recommends the following:
• Arrive at the airport at least three (3) hours before your scheduled departure.
• Allow additional time for your journey to the airport, as traffic congestion and possible road restrictions may affect travel times.
• Travel light where possible and have your travel documents ready for check-in and security screening.
• Passengers and those meeting arriving travellers should be prepared for possible changes to flight arrival and departure times, increased traffic, and delays accessing the airport.
Our teams are working closely with the airport and the relevant authorities, and we are taking every possible step to keep our flights operating on time.
