ST JOHNS ANTIGUA, 7th January 2025: The Antigua Power Company (APC) experienced an unexpected shutdown of its 50 MW power plant, resulting in a significant load loss and power outages across several communities.
The technicians at APC are currently conducting an internal investigation to determine the cause of this fault.
In the interim, the LNG plant’s generators were promptly activated to facilitate the successful restoration of power to all affected customers.
