ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA METEOROLOGICAL SERVICE (ABMS): Forecast models show that smoke from the Canadian wildfires is expected to reach the northeastern Caribbean and may already be present at higher levels in the atmosphere.

Good news: Air quality across Antigua and Barbuda remains in the Good category and is expected to stay that way as the smoke plume passes through the region.
The plume is forecast to continue moving westward across the northern Caribbean and the Bahamas by tomorrow, limiting any significant impacts locally.

Our next notable air quality concern remains the anticipated
Saharan dust surge on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service (ABMS) will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary.
