Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA): A team from CDEMA met with Gergely Fricz, Geospatial Coordinator at MapAction, to discuss strengthening regional geospatial and information management support for disaster preparedness and response.
The meeting focused on operationalising the CDEMA–MapAction MoU, support to the Regional Coordination Centre (RCC), rapid mapping, geospatial capacity building, and tools to enhance data-driven decision-making across Participating States.
The team from CDEMA included Ms. Cassie Roopnarine GIS Specialist and ICT Manager Mr. Oronde Lambert. CDEMA looks forward to continued collaboration with MapAction in advancing regional disaster risk management and response coordination.
