Ministry of Works: Road works are currently progressing in Bathlodge and in many other communities.

Unfortunately, a member of the public deliberately drove through a boundary barrier in Bathlodge and damaged fresh concrete.

We urgently appeal to the public to:

• Respect all signs and barriers in place at our work sites.

• Use designated detour routes, which are clearly marked for your safety and convenience.

• Comply with road crew instructions at all times.

• Remember that newly paved road surfaces require time to cure or dry properly. It is impossible to judge this process accurately by eye.
