Staff from the Central Board of Health shared valuable health and safety tips with patients who visited the Villa Polyclinic.

On day one, the focus was on child safety in the home, highlighting simple but effective measures parents can put in place to protect their children — including safe storage of chemicals and medications, covering electrical outlets, securing sharp objects, and ensuring proper supervision.

Another day, staff from the Vector Control Unit engaged the patients on rodent prevention and control.

Practical tips included keeping yards clean and free of debris, properly storing and disposing of garbage, sealing gaps and holes around homes, and avoiding the disposal of food waste in open areas.

The Central Board of Health remains committed to sensitizing and educating the public through continuous outreach initiatives.

Small preventive steps can make a big difference in keeping our homes, families, and communities safe.
