FLASH FLOOD WATCH
ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA METEOROLOGICAL SERVICES
11:00 PM ECT MON, SEP 22, 2025

A flash flood watch is in effect for low-lying and flood-prone areas of Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, and Anguilla, valid from 6 a.m. Tuesday 23 September 2025.

A flash flood watch means that moderate to major flooding is possible but not imminent in the watch area. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

Residents in low lying and flood prone areas should make preparations for flooding to safe guard life and property.

An active tropical wave is forecast to move over the Leeward Islands during the next 24 hours. The wave is currently being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.

Rainfall accumulation between 1 to 4 inches are possible during its passage and residents of these islands should be prepared to move to higher ground. This watch could be upgraded to a warning at short notice.

Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services will continue to monitor the weather situation. Please stay tuned to local radio or television for watch updates and possible warnings.

Forecasters: Lenard Josiah / Bianca Bess
