Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA); May 10, 2023- Kingstown – A team from the CDEMA Preparedness & Response Department (PRD) is conducting Logistics System Training with Emergency agencies in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines.

Logistics Specialist II, Mr. Cayle Francis-Thornhill and Logistics Specialist l, Mr. Kevon Campbell are working with Mr. Geoff Chao of the World Food Programme, to deliver the sessions.

The objective is to familiarize the organizations involved in the emergency logistic supply chain in SVG, on using the CDEMA Logistics System and the adaptation of sound logistics and warehouse management best practices.

All this comes as the region prepares for the upcoming Atlantic Hurricane season which starts on June 1, 2023.

Funding for the activity has been provided by the Building Resilience in the CARIFORUM States (BRICS) Project, under the 11th EDF Natural Disaster Facility funded by the European Union.
