The general public is hereby reminded that clearing forested land without proper authorization from the Chief Forest Officer through the Forestry Unit is illegal as per section 6 of the Forestry Act CAP 178 and Regulation 2 of The Forestry Regulation CAP 178.

Any person who fails to comply will be guilty of an offense and liable on summary conviction to a fine.

You are kindly asked to seek approval from the Forestry Unit within the Ministry of Agriculture before commencing any clearing, cutting, or felling of forest vegetation.
