The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) is gearing up for the 2023 Carib Wave Tsunami Exercise. This annual exercise is slated to take place at 10:30 AM on Thursday, 23rd March 2023.

The exercise is designed to test the readiness of individuals, workplaces schools etc. should a Tsunami threaten Antigua and Barbuda.

Organizations are asked to use the opportunity to test portions of their various disaster plans with specific interest shown to tsunami response with persons moving to their respective safe areas.

Caribe Wave is an annual tsunami exercise conducted by the Intergovernmental Coordination Group for Tsunamis and Other Coastal Hazards in the Caribbean and Adjacent Regions (ICG CARIBE-EWS) of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
