Earthquake Alert System Update #2

As part of a recent upgrading of the alert systems, The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC) has revised the threshold for earthquake reporting magnitudes in the Eastern Caribbean to Mt3.5 (the previous threshold was Mt3.8 and above and those were posted).

This will produce more solutions and therefore more earthquake posts online and on their interactive map.

This does NOT necessarily indicate an increase in seismic (earthquake) activity in the Eastern Caribbean.
