The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) Coordinating Unit, through a consultancy, is undertaking a review/enhancement of the Community Resilience Framework (CRF).

The objective of this Consultancy is to review and undertake a comprehensive enhancement of the Community Resilience Framework allowing for a more robust and focused approach to building resilience in communities.

The Framework provides the structure upon which resilience to multiple hazards will be built giving due consideration to the national enabling environment for effective implementation and sustainability.

To this end, a Stakeholder Consultation/Validation Exercise was undertaken on November 25, 2022, at the Holiday Inn Express in Trinidad and Tobago.

This activity was facilitated by the consultant, Mr Keith Ford and included representatives from the CDEMA Participating States working in Community Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) and representatives of the Civil Society sector.

Technical support for this activity is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Caribbean Climate Resilience Initiative (CCRI), being implemented by the CDEMA Coordinating Unit.
