“The Department of Environment (DOE) is happy to announce the successful launch of the “Waterway Management, Vector Control, and Illegal Dumping and Climate Change Adaptation” Campaign” funded by the DOE’s Adaptation Fund, Global Environment Facility and Green Climate Fund projects.

So far several hundred members of the communities within the Cashew Hill Waterway and McKinnons waterway have been educated on mosquito vector control and illegal dumping during community workshops.

Also, over 6,000 mosquito traps have been distributed to persons within the previously mentioned communities and other stakeholders/partners, which has already begun producing a significant benefit to persons within those communities.
