Department of Analytical Services Antigua and Barbuda – This month (October), the Passive Air Samplers that were deployed in July 2022 were taken down and replaced.

This will continue every 3 months for the next 2 years. This is part of the air monitoring component of our Mercury Monitoring Programme.

We thank Dr. Marcus Natta, scientist at heart and the new Cabinet Secretary in St. Kitts & Nevis, for helping out and joining us on this field visit.

Passive Air Samplers were deployed to measure Mercury deposition over the next 3 months. Samplers will be deployed every 3 months for the next 2 years to establish temporal trends. This commences the air monitoring component of our Mercury Monitoring Programme.
