National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) – District Disaster Volunteers along with representatives from several departments were engaged in a one-day workshop on Tuesday 12th July 2022 on various aspects of flood management.

The training organised by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and NODS allowed participants to share experiences and good practices in managing floods and other related events.

Representatives came from the Department of Environment, the Met Office, the Development Control Authority (DCA), Public Works, and the Ministry of Agriculture among others.

The workshop was held at the Antigua and Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute (ABHTI) at Dutchman’s Bay, in the Coolidge area.
