The Veterinary and Livestock Division will no longer allow for the importation of meat and/or meat products (beef, pork, mutton, and chevron) from Brazil.
With rising prices on products in 2022, the Veterinary & Livestock Division realizes that importers will be looking for cheaper products but good quality to purchase for import.

Brazil is one such country that importers are looking to import from but due to the constant threat of diseases such as Foot and Mouth, the Veterinary & Livestock Division in the Ministry of Agriculture cannot allow for the importation of meat and/or meat products (beef, pork, mutton and chevron) from Brazil.
A risk analysis is being done by the Caribbean Agriculture Health and Food Safety Agency (CAHFSA) on the feasibility of importing meat and/or meat products from Brazil.
The Veterinary & Livestock Division will accept meat and/or meat products from the following countries Uraguay, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina and Belize.
