ABS Television – The authorities say they are closer to commencing construction of culverts in Cashew Hill to address flooding risks. The project is part of the Enhance Direct Access (EDA) Project, a regional initiative under the Green Climate Fund being implemented in Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica and Grenada.

Environment Minister Hon. Sir Molwyn Joseph continues to be pleased by the project’s progress. He says the work is long overdue and is easily the most comprehensive effort to address the flooding risk.

The ongoing flood mitigation project in Cashew Hill will not only benefit residents there.
The project will also provide opportunities for budding engineers through the Department of Environment’s Apprenticeship Programme.
