Motorists travelling to and from the southern parts of the island are elated at the reopening of the Little Creek Bridge.
The bridge became severely compromised after heavy rainfall in November 2020. Subsequently, officials were left with no choice but to declare the bridge closed for the safety of the public.

A diversion road was created adjacent to the damaged bridge and has been in operation until today December 14 2021. Work to construct a new bridge started a few months after the historical deluge and has since continued in earnest to this much anticipated moment.

The bridge not only forms part of the road network but allows for the controlled flow of significant amounts of water during heavy rainfall from Creekside and surrounding areas.
