On Thursday morning a Memorandum of Understanding between The University of the West Indies (UWI) and Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) was signed, revising the way the two institutions will cooperate to bring about solutions within the Caribbean.

Andria Grosvenor – Deputy Executive Director (Ag), CDEMA Coordinating Unit said the goal of the memorandum is to formalise a none exclusive framework of cooperation and to facilitate collaboration between the parties to promote programmes and projects that foster cooperation that result in the promotion of evidence-based decision making on economic and social policy issues in the Caribbean region by developing a joint creation and dissemination agenda.
