This serves to advise all individuals, companies, truck owners and operators who utilize the Codrington Landfill that new operational procedures will take effect for the disposal of waste at the facility.

Effective Monday 14th September 2026, the following procedures shall apply:

1. Landfill Opening Hours
The Codrington Landfill will be open for waste disposal Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Special time for dumping can be arranged with the Landfill Manager, Mr. Godfrey Punter Dyett, or Foreman, Mr. Malcolm Cephas, via 723-5466 or 778-9796.

2. Weekend Dumping
Weekend dumping will only be permitted under special arrangements made by appointment with the Landfill Manager or Foreman. No person or company should enter the landfill for weekend disposal without prior approval.

3. Landfill Tipping Fees
The Barbuda Council has implemented disposal tipping fees for all waste entering the Codrington Landfill. All persons, companies, and truck operators utilizing the facility are required to comply with the applicable tipping fee (see Tipping Fee Schedule attached).

4. Tipping Fee Payment Agreement and Information
A Codrington Landfill Tipping Fee Agreement and additional information regarding the applicable tipping fees and payment procedures are available upon request from the Barbuda Council/Landfill Management.

These measures are being implemented to improve the management, operation, accountability, and sustainability of the Codrington Landfill and to ensure that waste disposal is carried out in an orderly and responsible manner.

We ask for the cooperation of all individuals, businesses, and truck operators in adhering to these new procedures. Failure to comply with the established landfill operating requirements may result in denial of access to the facility or other applicable action.

Any dumping outside of the landfill is classified as illegal dumping and is subject to the laws of the Antigua and Barbuda Litter Prevention Act and can include a fine of up to $6,000.00.
