MAGNITUDE: 6.4

ORIGIN TIME: 1800 UTC JUN 8 2026

COORDINATES: 22.8 NORTH 85.3 WEST

DEPTH: 33 KM / 20 MILES

LOCATION: CUBA REGION

EVALUATION

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.4 occurred in the Cuba region at 1800 UTC on Monday, June 8, 2026. Based on all available data, there is no significant tsunami threat from this earthquake. However, there is a very small possibility of tsunami waves along coasts located nearest the epicenter.

RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: NO ACTION IS REQUIRED
