STATE MEDIA: Three senior officers from the Antigua and Barbuda Fire Brigade are attending the 2026 Caribbean Association of Fire Chiefs Conference in the Dominican Republic, running from May 17 to 24, 2026.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Vivian Parker, Superintendent of Police Elvis Gordon, and Assistant Superintendent of Police Lester Bagot are among fire chiefs and senior firefighters from across the region gathering under the theme “Beyond Borders: Advancing Integrated Emergency Management Across the Caribbean.”

The conference covers topics including command presence, strategic planning, risk mitigation, and the use of Geographic Information Systems. Antigua and Barbuda is set to host the 2027 edition of the conference.
