STRATCOM, Saturday, March 28, 2026: The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of 48-year-old Karen Pigott of Wireless Road.
At approximately 6:20 p.m. on Friday, March 27, police received a report that a motor vehicle had driven into a hedge along a by-road in Freetown, and the driver was found unresponsive inside.
Officers responded to the scene and observed a grey Toyota Ractis motor car, which had come to a stop in a hedge on the eastern side of the road, with a lone female occupant slouched in the driver’s seat and appeared to be unresponsive.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned and conducted examinations; however, no signs of life were detected.
A medical doctor later visited the scene and officially pronounced the woman dead at approximately 8:05 p.m. Foul play is not suspected.
The Police Administration extends sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time.
The investigation remains ongoing.
