Outage Update – Buckleys Line 9:00 pm
A temporary restoration will be carried out this evening to safely restore electricity to the affected section of Buckleys Line. Electricity is expected to be re-energised within the next 30 to 45 minutes.

Permanent repairs to the damaged utility pole will be completed tomorrow after the concrete truck involved in the earlier accident has been safely removed from the site.
Once again we apologise for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience and understanding

Previous Story:
The APUA Electricity Business Unit wishes to provide an update to residents of Buckleys, from the Buckleys Line Roundabout to the southern section of Island Academy, regarding an outage that occurred earlier this morning at approximately 11.33 a.m.

At that time, a concrete truck was involved in an accident and collided with one of our utility poles, causing the Belmont No. 2 feeder to trip. The feeder was successfully re-energised at approximately 12.43 p.m.

However, the affected section of Buckleys remains isolated for safety reasons.
Restoration work is currently on hold as our team is awaiting the safe removal of the concrete truck from the utility pole, after which the damaged pole can be replaced. This situation continues to result in an outage in the affected area.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience being experienced and thank residents for their patience and understanding as we work to safely restore service as soon as possible.
