Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA), Monday, 22 September 2025: Today, APUA’S CEO John Bradshaw convened an emergency meeting with senior management and engineers from the Electricity and Water Business Units to address the recent power outages, some of which have recurred in certain communities over the past weeks.

While the outages stemmed from unrelated causes, engineers provided detailed updates on their assessments and the factors that contributed to the faults.

Discussions also highlighted the impact on customers, including disruptions at water production facilities.

The team reviewed the root causes and committed to strengthening preventative maintenance measures to reduce the likelihood of future occurrences.
