The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) has been redoubling efforts to clean the waterways in several communities around the island to help alleviate flooding whenever there is heavy rainfall.

Since July, it has been a collaborative effort among NODS, the Public Works Department, the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) and the Central Board of Health (CBH).

Work has been completed in some parts of Golden Grove, Cassada Gardens, on Factory Road and will continue in Potters, Pigotts, Cedar Grove, Royal Gardens, Fort Road and other areas.
