Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs: The Ministry hereby re-issues its official Travel Update, initially published on 7th November 2024, detailing the implementation of the UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) System, which comes into effect for Antigua and Barbuda passport holders as of 8th January 2025.
The Ministry wishes to inform all Antigua and Barbuda passport holders of new immigration control policies by UK Border Control authorities which are introduced in accordance with United Kingdom’s transition to the fully digitized Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system.
In this connection, careful adherence to the following information is advised:
BEGINS
The UK is introducing Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for nationals who do not need a visa to visit the United Kingdom for under six months.
• For eligible non-European passengers, applications for ETAs will open from 27 November 2024, and they will need an ETA to travel to the UK starting 8 January 2025.
• For eligible European passengers, applications will open on 5 March 2025, and they will need an ETA to travel to the UK starting 2 April 2025.
