Saturday, 28 February, 2026: The APUA Water Business Unit wishes to advise our valued customers of a temporary reduction in daily water production at three of our Reverse Osmosis Plants.

This is due to electrical issues at the Crabbs Reverse Osmosis Plant, mechanical challenges at the Ivan Rodrigues Reverse Osmosis Plant, and one unit currently offline at the Fort James Reverse Osmosis Plant as a result of unfavourable sea conditions.

As a result, communities served by these plants may experience adjustments to their normal service schedule. This may include shorter distribution periods or longer intervals between scheduled service days.

We continue to encourage all customers, particularly those in affected areas, to ensure they have adequate water stored for household needs and to practise mindful water usage until normal service is fully restored.

Our teams are actively addressing these matters and will continue to monitor the system closely as we work to restore full production as quickly as possible. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.
