Monday, 23 February, 2026: The Water Business Unit acknowledges the recent increase in reports of ruptured lines.
This is largely due to ageing infrastructure within the network, compounded by the increased volumes of water now being produced and distributed through pipes that were not originally designed to accommodate this level of demand.

As we continue upgrading our mainlines to more durable HDPE pipes in phases to strengthen and modernise the system, our teams remain on the ground daily responding to leaks and other faults across the island.
Customers are reminded that support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Water-related issues can be reported to our Contact Centre at 211 for prompt attention.
