The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) advises customers that earlier this morning reports were received from residents in Barnes Hill and New Winthorpes regarding a salty taste in the water supply.

Our teams were immediately dispatched and observed a faint residue in the affected areas. This is attributed to these communities being located at the end of the distribution line, where water had settled.

Nonetheless, in keeping with our commitment to water quality, our Operations team will carry out an additional line flushing exercise in the area.

Customers are reminded to report any concerns related to water quality or service faults to our Support Centre by calling 211.
