CARILEC’s Disaster Assistance Programme (CDAP) has deployed teams from 17 regional Utilities and 2 Private Contracting Firms to Jamaica to support restoration efforts.

This powerful show of regional solidarity and collaboration demonstrates the Caribbean energy sector’s unwavering commitment to resilience and recovery.

The teams being deployed hail from the following companies;

• Anguilla Electricity Company Limited

• Antigua Public Utilities Authority

• Barbados Light & Power Company Ltd

• Bahamas Power & Light

• Belize Electricity Limited

• British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation

• Caribbean Utilities Company (Cayman Islands)

• Dominica Electricity Services

• Grand Bahama Power Company

• Guyana Power & Light

• Grenada Electricity Services Ltd.

• Nevis Electricity Company

• Pelican Energy TCI (Turks & Caicos Islands)

• Saint Kitts Electricity Company

• St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited

• St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited

• Trinidad & Tobago Electricity Commission

• Islandwide Electrical (Saint Lucia)

• Kings Electrical (Saint Lucia)

131 Line workers have already been deployed, with additional resources scheduled to arrive during the coming week.

As at Monday, November 10, 2025 JPS informed that 64% of its customers had regained their electricity supply.

81% of major health facilities, 56% of telecommunication critical sites, and 58% of National Water Commission critical sites had been restored.
