Dr. J. Humphreys: As we mark the 84th anniversary of the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross Society, I write to you with deep gratitude, pride, and admiration.

Eighty-four years ago, a vision was born – a vision rooted in compassion, courage, and community. That vision has grown into a movement that continues to stand as a pillar of hope and resilience in our nation.

Over the decades, the ABRCS has been there for our communities through hurricanes, floods, fires, pandemics, and countless personal crises. Our volunteers, you, have been the first on the scene and the last to leave.

You have brought not just aid, but comfort, solidarity, and a steadfast commitment to humanity a hope for those in distress. Your dedication, sacrifice, and courage have made an immeasurable difference in the lives of those we serve.

But your work goes far beyond emergency response. Through youth training, health education, community outreach, emergency and disaster response, community and climate resilience programs, and mobile health initiatives, you are strengthening the fabric of our society.

You are building resilience, empowering communities, and ensuring that no one is left behind.

To every volunteer: your service is the lifeblood of this organization. You embody the values that the Red Cross stands for – kindness in action, courage in adversity, and selfless dedication to the welfare of others.

Your work inspires hope, uplifts spirits, and reminds us all of the transformative power of human compassion.

As we celebrate this milestone, let it also be a moment to look forward. The world around us continues to change, and the challenges before us are greater than ever.

Yet I am confident that with your continued dedication, the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross Society will meet these challenges with resilience, innovation, and unwavering humanity.

Thank you for your tireless service, your commitment, and your heart for humanity. You are the reason this organization thrives, and it is because of you that the ABRCS continues to bring hope, comfort, and life-saving support to our communities.

Let us move forward together, inspired by the difference we make and motivated by the lives we touch. Your work matters, and your impact is profound. With deepest appreciation and respect, together we can!
