Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA): On Friday 17 October, 2025 the APUA team, along with Hon. Melford Nicholas, Minister of Public Utilities, and Hon. E.P. Chet Greene, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Representative for the St. Paul’s constituency, visited the Buckley’s Tank site.

The interior of the 600,000-imperial-gallon facility was recently refurbished and has now been recommissioned. The tank is fully operational and currently distributing water to communities in the south-eastern areas, including the surrounding districts up to Liberta and Horsford Hill.

APUA’s CEO, John Bradshaw, also shared plans for the refurbishment of an additional 2-million-gallon storage tank at Crabbs, the commissioning of the 450,000-imperial-gallon Pattersons storage tank, and the construction of new storage tanks in New Winthropes Wink Eye area.

As APUA continues to expand production and upgrade infrastructure, the Authority is also increasing storage capacity as a contingency measure to ensure the sustainability and reliability of water distribution to consumers.
