STATE MEDIA: The Education Ministry has taken the decision to close the two public schools in 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐚 on Friday, October 10, 2025 as a Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for the sister island.

The decision comes amid the forecast showing a higher chance of storm-force winds for 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐚 as Tropical Storm Jerry passes to the north of the Leeward Islands tonight into tomorrow.

However, classes will continue at public schools on mainland Antigua tomorrow. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Antigua and several other islands in the Leewards.
