STATE MEDIA: A 45-year-old Jennings resident has been killed in what appears to have been a hit-and-run crash in the community early this morning.

Glen Morris was found face down and unresponsive in a pool of blood when emergency personnel were called to the scene shortly before 4:30am.

The incident happened in the vicinity of the Jennings Secondary School. His motorcycle and helmet were found several feet away. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators theorise he was hit by another vehicle, based on the injuries he sustained.

It is believed he was on the ground for some time before first responders were called, since the pre-dawn darkness had made it difficult for passersby to realise what had happened.

Members of Morris’ distraught family were among those on the scene as investigations continued.
