Pesticides Toxic Chemicals Board: The Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board (PTCCB) continues to demonstrate its commitment to advancing environmentally sound waste management practices in Antigua and Barbuda.

We are pleased to announce the completion of the National Inventory Report on Pesticide-Container Waste for Antigua and Barbuda, as part of the implementation of the Basel Convention’s Programme of Work. This report reflects the collaborative efforts of dedicated stakeholders across various sectors.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all who contributed to this vital initiative. The data and recommendations outlined in the report are intended to inform and inspire policy reform and practical action for the responsible management of pesticide-container waste.

During the Validation Workshop held on 4 June 2025, representatives from government agencies, agricultural pesticide applicators, agro-dealers, waste management entities, and non-governmental organisations engaged in productive dialogue on the findings, recommendations and implementation plans for the sound management of empty pesticide containers.

Remember, improperly managed and obsolete pesticide containers pose significant risks to health and the environment.
