Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency: The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) urges all stakeholders across the region to take note that the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season officially runs from June 1 to November 30.

During this period, our region is most at risk of tropical storm and hurricane impacts. Preparedness and coordination are critical for safeguarding lives, property, and national development gains.

These hurricane names highlighted have been designated by the World Meteorological Organization and will be used in rotation to identify named storms forming in the Atlantic Basin in 2025.

CDEMA Coordinating Unit (CU), in collaboration with National Disaster Offices (NDOs), continues to monitor tropical systems closely and to enhance regional preparedness through coordination of the Regional Response Mechanism (RRM).

CDEMA encourages all citizens, communities, and institutions to:
• Review your family, business, and community disaster preparedness plans.
• Restock your emergency kits with essentials, including water, food, medications, flashlights, batteries, and important documents.
• Stay tuned to official weather bulletins from your National Meteorological Services and Disaster Management Authorities.

• Follow CDEMA and your local emergency authorities on social media for timely alerts and updates.
• Ensure your insurance and property protection plans are in order.
• Participate in disaster preparedness drills and public awareness campaigns.
• Check on vulnerable members of your community, including the elderly, disabled, and children.

CDEMA stands ready to coordinate collective response actions should any Participating State be affected and will continue working with our partners to build a safer, more resilient Caribbean.
