Strengthening Skills at Sea | ABDF x ABSAR
On Saturday, 12 April 2025, members of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) joined the Antigua and Barbuda Search and Rescue (ABSAR) team for a joint marine medical training exercise focused on CPR and life-threatening bleed management.
Training took place aboard Rescue 1, Rescue 2, and the Coast Guard vessel, where participants practiced real-time scenarios from CPR while underway to managing critical bleeds using tourniquets and wound-packing techniques.
The session served as both a refresher for experienced personnel and a hands-on intro for new trainees. A true display of collaboration and readiness at sea.
