Police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Sergeant Iyo Malone-Merchant.

Sergeant Merchant was pronounced dead at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center on Friday, March 14 2025 at 2: 21pm, as a result of an alleged gunshot wound. The incident occurred shortly after 1:30 pm.

The Police Administration expresses condolences to her immediate family and colleagues as they continue to investigate the incident.
