ST JOHNS ANTIGUA, 28th February 2025: The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) Electricity Business Unit sincerely apologises to customers served by the Five Islands #4 circuit for the extended outage experienced on Friday 28 February, 2025.

Initially, maintenance work was expected to take approximately 90 minutes. However, during the exercise, our technicians identified additional issues that could potentially cause future outages. To enhance service reliability, the team took immediate action to address these concerns.

Due to the specific location of the circuit, it could not be connected to an alternate power source, resulting in a prolonged outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The impacted areas included Union Road, Five Islands, Hatton, Grays Farm, Green Bay, Cooks Hill.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working to provide safe and reliable electricity service.
