The Division of Food Security, Natural Resources, the Environment, and Sustainable Development is relieved and grateful to share that fishermen Albert James and Junior Thorn, who had been missing at sea for several days, were safely found on Saturday, 16th February 2025.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the dedicated rescue teams, including TEMA (Tobago Emergency Management Agency) and all those who contributed to this successful effort.

We also acknowledge the efforts of Mr. Dominic Waldron, Trawler Captain I of our Department of Marine Resources and Fisheries, who kept the Division informed throughout the process.

Both our Secretary, Assemblyman Nathisha Charles-Pantin, and Assistant Secretary, Nigel Taitt were present as the fishermen were reunited with their families.

We are grateful for the teamwork and swift response that led to this positive outcome.
