This year is on track to potentially be one of the wettest on record, with the year-to-date rainfall already ranking among the top ten rainiest periods in history.
Forecast Details
Antigua is most likely to receive around 1517 mm (60.0 in) of rainfall this year, with a 70 percent confidence of it being in the range of 1304 to 1753 mm (51 to 69 in).

There is also the possibility that rainfall could exceed 1534.4 mm (60.41 in), indicating a potential for soggily wet or well-above-normal rainfall.
With a 90 percent probability for above-normal rainfall, this forecast suggests a notably wetter year.

The chance of experiencing either above or near-normal precipitation stands at 99 percent, while the likelihood of a drier-than-normal year is virtually nonexistent at just 1 percent.
Moreover, there is a 50 percent chance that the year’s rainfall will fall within the top 10 percentile for the period of 1991-2020.

If the upper end of the forecast, 1753 mm (69 in), is realized, 2024 could be near record-breaking. The wettest year on record remains 1951, with 1764 mm (69.45 in).
