Representatives from various departments were engaged in a National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) training on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th August 2024 at NODS on the American Road.

The training is part of efforts to boost the number of individuals who can operate in the NEOC, which coordinates response to a hazard or disaster in Antigua and Barbuda.

Participants came from the Police and Defence Forces, Fire Department, Customs and Excise Division, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Immigration Department, National Solid Waste Management Authority and NODS.

The two-day training was sponsored by USAID’s Office for Foreign Direct Assistance (OFDA), represented by Terry Morris.
