The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority (ABAA) advises all travelers and stakeholders that the VC Bird International Airport will close at 8 PM tonight due to the approaching tropical system.
Based on the guidance from the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services, we anticipate reopening the airport for regular commercial service by 3 PM tomorrow, Tuesday August 13th, 2024.
We urge all members of the public to heed the advice of Antigua and Barbuda’s disaster emergency services and take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety during the passage of the weather system.
The Authority will continue to monitor the storm’s progress and issue further advisories as appropriate.
