GIS Antigua & Barbuda: Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney has expressed his satisfaction and commendations with a team of police officers deployed to Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines following the passage of Hurricane Beryl on July 1, 2024. The police contingent has since returned home after completing a successful mission.

Commissioner Rodney commended the officers for a job well done on this challenging assignment when he met with them at Police Headquarters on Monday, July 22, 2024.

The police officers stated their delight to have represented Antigua and Barbuda while providing the necessary security support to OECS neighbours.

Antigua and Barbuda was the first country to respond in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl which caused severe damage in Carriacou and Petite Martinique in Grenada and Union Island, Canuouan, and Mayreu in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Police Officers and Member of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force were deployed to both Grenada and St. Vincent as early as July 2, 2024.
