The Office of the Prime Minister of Grenada – On Thursday, July 11, 2024, the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility Segregated Portfolio Company (CCRIF SPC), through Chief Executive Officer Mr. Isaac Anthony, presented Minister for Finance, Hon. Denis Cornwall, with a payout of USD $44,040,627 on behalf of our tri-island state.

This payment was triggered by the impact of Hurricane Beryl, activating all CCRIF SPC policies for Grenada.

Utility companies Grenlec and NAWASA also received payouts of USD $9.3 million and USD $2.2 million respectively, due to the hurricane’s impact.

While these funds may not cover all rebuilding costs, they will enable us to begin the journey of restoration of our homes, our communities and our nation
