Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) – Please be advised that the closed season for Conch begins July 1st to August 31st 2024.

It is also illegal to harm, take, have in your possession, place for sale or purchase undersized conch:

• Shell less that 7” Flared lip with a thickness less than 5 mm (1/5”)

• With a meat weight less than 225 grams (8 ounces)

Anyone who breaches this regulation commits an offence under the Fisheries Regulations and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand dollars (XCD50,000.00).

Closed seasons are put in place to ensure that our marine resources remain sustainable.
