Regional Security System (RSS) – Commissioner of the Royal Police Force of Antigua & Barbuda, Atlee Rodney, and Chief of Defence Staff of the Antigua & Barbuda Defence Force, Col. Telbert Benjamin, welcomed the Regional Security System’s Joint Task Force (RSS JTF), to Antigua.
The troops, which were drawn from Barbados, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, were sworn in following their arrival and given the country, intelligence and legal briefs.
The deployment is in support of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda and the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force, for security operations around the hosting of the United Nations 4th Small Island Developing States Conference scheduled for May 27 to 30.
