GIS-Antigua and Barbuda – The Government of Antigua and Barbuda is calling on those involved in the damage of bus shelters to desist or face serious consequences.

It has been observed that a number of bus shelters particularly along the Friars Hill Road have been damaged.
It is important in any civic society, that public property is preserved and protected in order to maintain the convenience it is designed to serve and be of use to the general public.

Chapter 258 of the Laws of Antugua and Barbuda (The Malicous Damage Act) outlines the consequences of such actions.
Section 46 states the penalties including imprisonment upon summary conviction for such offense.
